ATLANTA (July 21, 2017) | Sen. Blake Tillery (R – Vidalia) recently announced a Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contract award for a project in Wayne County totaling more than $638,000. The project was advertised in May, bids were received on June 16, and contracts were awarded on June 30.
“GDOT’s continued commitment to our roads is a wonderful investment that is sure to improve safety and the prospect of economic development in Wayne County,” said Sen. Tillery. “These upgrades will help to guarantee our roads are up to code, as well as ensure they are as safe as possible for motorists. I am thankful for this project and look forward to improvements across District 19 in the future.”
The award for Wayne County will address off-system signing and pavement marking upgrades at 14 locations across Wayne County. The anticipated completion date of the project is August 31, 2018.
