Meet Blake
Blake Tillery is the current Senator for District 19. Blake is the Senate Appropriations Chairman and is responsible for writing the budget each year. Before he was elected to the Senate, Blake was the Chairman of the Toombs County Commission and served on the Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission. Blake is a currently a member of Kiwanis. Previously, Tillery served on the Workforce Investment Board, the Board of the Boys and Girls Club, and as Treasurer of the local Republican Party.
Blake is married to Dr. Ashlee Nicole Sharer from Wayne County and they have a young son, John. Dr. Tillery is currently practicing medicine in Vidalia.
Named as a Georgia Trend 40 Under 40 honoree in 2013, Blake Tillery is a graduate of the Leadership Georgia class of 2015, member of the Conservative Policy Leadership Institute and a graduate of Republican Leadership for Georgia. He has served in the State Senate for 6 years.
Dr. Ashlee Nicole Tillery is a Wayne County Native and former Miss Wayne County. She is currently practicing medicine at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital as an OB-GYN. They have a young son, John, who is the joy of their life. Blake and Ashlee Nicole are wholeheartedly committed to each other and the success of South Georgia.
